I had this bottle opener for a year before I figured out where to put it. I’m deathly afraid of putting holes in the Azdel walls. I’m probably being wimpy about it but I’m not willing to take a chance.

I finally realized that I could mount it with a screw and nut right in to the refrigerator panel right next to the kitchen. Even if I screwed it up, I could always buy a replacement for a few bucks!

I really like the magnet. No one has an excuse for leaving a bottle cap on the ground.

Installation

I didn’t use the stock screws to install it. I wanted to make sure I gave the plastic cover as much help as possible.  I pre-drilled the holes and used pan-head stainless steel screws, nuts and washers to mount it. I took the opener to the store to make sure I matched the head to the original screws.

I used Loctite on the threads to make sure they didn’t vibrate out.
